Amy Hoare Nassar, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP)

Status: Accepting CLients - Updated May 2026

Who I Am / Approach

I offer somatic, trauma-informed support for people navigating intimacy, identity, grief, sexuality, and nervous system overwhelm.

My work is grounded in relational and body-based approaches that recognize how experiences are carried not only cognitively, but physically, emotionally, and relationally over time.

I am interested in the ways people adapt in order to survive, and what becomes possible when those patterns are met with curiosity, compassion, pacing, and care.

My approach is shaped by Somatic Experiencing®, trauma-sensitive and attachment-informed work, grief practice, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches, and a longstanding connection to creative process and community care.

I often work well with thoughtful, self-aware people who may already understand their patterns intellectually, but are looking for support that feels more embodied, relational, and emotionally integrated.

I welcome and work with individuals across a range of identities, relationship structures, gender experiences, and sexualities, including queer and LGBTQ+ clients.

Ways of Working

My work is collaborative, paced, and attentive to nervous system capacity.

Together, we may explore sensation, relational dynamics, boundaries, embodiment, intimacy, sexuality, and the ways experiences can become held in the body over time.

I approach this work with respect for complexity, consent, pacing, and the understanding that healing is rarely linear.

Areas of interest include:

  • intimacy and relationship patterns

  • sexuality and embodiment

  • grief and life transitions

  • nervous system overwhelm

  • disconnection, numbness, and relational shutdown

  • reconnecting to aliveness, pleasure, and self-trust
